About Bliss Cunningham, LPC
I will walk along side you through this journey.
I’m a Houma-based therapist who specializes in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, burnout, and more. I offer in-person sessions at my Houma office to adults and teens and virtual sessions to adults across Louisiana.
please Hear me when I say:
Being here doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you’re strong.
The idea of therapy may scare you, but it’s a decision that can help to create the change you want to see in your life. It takes awareness to recognize the need for change and strength to take the steps to achieve it.
How I work
At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that it’s all about you: your thoughts, your emotions, your behaviors and how they affect you.
I utilize a number of evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and EMDR.
Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length. In sessions with me, you will be the focus. There is no topic that is off limits and no judgement.
Each session in itself is important, but what happens in-between sessions is just as important. I will encourage you to apply what is discussed in sessions to your daily life. Change takes time, commitment, and consistency. I will walk with you every step of the way.
Therapy with me is…
-
One size does not fit all in therapy. My approach is tailored to you, your needs, and your goals.
-
My honesty will always be delivered with respect. Honesty from the both of us will be crucial in creating the change you seek in life.
-
Your story is safe with me. Confidentiality will be discussed further in our first session.
-
We will explore your past, present, and future while also exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
